“Florida bill banning local governments from funding diversity events, programs sent to DeSantis, Bill give governor the power to remove local officials” (Jim Turner, Published on WKMG.com/Channel 6 on March 11, 2026 at 11:07 AM)

Wait a minute.  I did not know that the celebration “Chinese New Year” events were contributed from the public funds (taxes/people’s home taxes).  So, that Chinese event got the funds from that money since the 2000’s.  I did not know that, even my pass-away father.  If he knew that, you know, he would have something to say…

Tell me why? why the government give the money for those kind of events (Chinese New Year, LGBTQ, Women’s History Month or Women’s Equality Day, Diwali, Easter) while on the other side, force people to pay taxes for their homes, if they don’t have money to pay, then the government force their homes to be sold.

To all representatives or whoever hold a position which supports to serve for all people that you’re supporting to serve for all people, not a group or a small group or a tiny group of people.  That means you need to find a way to make people have a good life; the most important of that is making them pay less taxes and/or no property taxes.  Property taxes are just a very last resource the government gets the money from the people, not must to.  Your roles are not like finding this way and that way to make people have to pay and pay more and more taxes on their homes.  If you support those groups or groups, you generate the fund yourself for them or use your own money or access; don’t drag all people down.

I don’t against anyone representing or celebrating anything, as long as they use their own money and/or generate their own funds to use. – DO NOT USE PUBLIC FUNDS.

For many years, the Vietnamese community in Central Florida (Cong Dong Viet Nam Trung Tam Florida/CDVNTTFL), which formed on 1992, generated their own money to celebrate Luna new year.  They use the word “Tet,” not something like “Chinese New Year.”  Not only that, they generated their own money to buy a small piece of land which is now eyed on by someone or some developers.  That land was in an area where there was no road access, just walking through a small trail.  The land was a jungle and plenty of mosquitoes…  Those funds were generated from those people, who were working in the area which majority of you including those celebrating the “Chinese New Year” events from public funds or those people who gave out public funds freely, are low paying jobs/super low paying jobs or a “nasty job” paying.  “Tet” was celebrated for 34 years; I don’t think they asked a penny of money from the city or the county or the state or the federal government.  For sure, “Tet” celebration by CDVNTTFL before 2021 were not from a penny of the public funds (government funds/people tax $).  Not only that, they invited the local government leaders to come over for the opening celebration ceremony without asking for any dollars, as I think so.  They don’t have any money reserves at all.  The most they could generate surplus is 2014, $17K+, for that single year.  That was the largest ever, I think.  How do I know?  Because I was the one spreading some pictures the first day of that year’s event on one of my websites…

When I said “Chinese New Year” event, don’t pick on that saying I am against Chinese people.  As I know/think, those who create/run/support that event are not really 100% Chinese.  They might be someone having Chinese spouses or someone with some kinds of purpose.

Once again, I am not against anyone or anything or any events as long as not using public funds.  When the government is still forcing the people paying taxes, especially their own homes, not a single penny of public funds is given out unless that is really necessary to serve for all people.
