Beside the traditional way to dry clothes, which has been for centuries, since the time there was no electricity around yet, hanging clothes outside, here is another example for you.
That is hanging clothes on the door panels.
After washing, just hang them like those in the following picture. This way can save you money one a/c running too because they evaporate the moisture and spread around the house; that helps the environment in the house better air too with or without running air conditioners in the summer.
When the clothes are half-way dried to fully dried, you can place them in the dryer to dry them, so they will soften… and smell great if you use dried paper.

There is another way to dry your clothes without drying them in full money saving or half-way through saving money on electricity. It is very simple; just place clothes on the cloth handles and then hang them on a cloth shelf, which you can purchase at Walmart or Target. I bought one 30 years ago; it was around less than $20. That was a small one and I threw it away already because I left it outside and the rainwater got stuck in the gap between two small trunks, then it turned bad, dirty. Also, it was not a steady one, skinny frame, tall, narrow…
You can dry them inside the garage without placing them outside. If you have an enclosed patio, then it’s great too, but still inside the garage is much better. It can cool down the heat in the garage and it also makes your clothes dry without getting stuck in dirt or bugs.
If you don’t want to spend money to buy the cloth dry frames, you can place long sticks between two shelves or… whatever you can find there.
