I wrote the below paper a couple weeks ago, then I told myself it’s not my business, so I put it away. However, I changed my mind now; I post it here.
To: The Government (city, county, region, state, federal…) of The United States of America
Please tell me why the government pays too much attention to PULSE, especially using a lot of money (public funds/tax $$$) to make/pump PULSE events/issues including the site to popularity.
I know that the life of a person is very important to everybody, especially to the family/parents, but I saw/heard too much and too long about PULSE stuff. This thing has been going on since my dad was still healthy with no sign of sickness, but now he has gone for more than five years. That is why I want to know why; someone tells me why it is important.
Tell me, what did those people, who lost their life in that night at the PULSE nightclub, do for the people, for the country… I don’t mean to pick on them; I just want to know why? As far as I know that night, they hung out and were enjoying their own life. I don’t mean they were bad or anything; I just want an explanation. I have been figuring out why the government treats them so special, using the money of living people who might be silently struggling with their own life with no one knowing, for that such a thing (PULSE land/building/architecture/design/time/resources). Someone has been claiming that action/activity is for those who died that night, but to me, no, it’s not for them at all.
Another issue is how much money that incident has been generated? Is it a bunch of money already? and where is that money now? There is another reason I ask because I have a feeling that those who died that night have been used for some reasons.
I heard that creating that site is for some kind of memorial; memorial of what? Is that hurting their families more? especially, their parents? Time might help them heal by the tragic pain fading away. Creating a memorial building there might hurt them and other people even more. As far as I know/heard that a lot of families, especially the parents, don’t accept or are happy that their children/family members are gay or lesbian. Some teenagers had taken their own lives because of this issue.
Don’t tell me the government always treats the dead people well. I don’t think so. If so, why does the government take advantage of the properties/homes of the dead homeowners who left them behind by taxing to the maximum allowing for increasing. Not only that, taxing the properties/homes they left behind [where they raised their children/grandchildren] by changing to the current market prices while their homes were purchased and have been paying property taxes for many years already. That is completely not right, but the government did that anyway.
Yeah, as the beginning of the post I said I did, I have thought about the PULSE memory site [which using public funds] is not my business, but, as long as the government still taxes the home wherever I live, yep, it is my business.
