I did not know that… “like a rent” | AT&T

I have been using the internet since the AOL thing; this is the first time I ever heard, “like a rent”. I have had the internet at home all the time since the late 1990’s.  

The following is a small portion of a copy of what I talked with AT&T.

So, if anyone who has the internet service with AT&T, died, the payment is stopped, due to no one making the payment to continue the internet service with AT&T, AT&T is still continuing billing the internet service without active service to the dead internet user even though that person is already dead for months, is it right?
